Frameworks for the Assessment of Internationalisation and Evaluation Report published

The Executive Board of NVAO has adopted the Frameworks for the Assessment of Internationalisation on 14 November 2011. Higher education institutions can refer to these special frameworks to apply for a distinctive (quality) feature for their internationalisation. The adopted document includes assessment frameworks at programme and at institutional level.

In 2010, NVAO piloted a conceptual framework in collaboration with a number of experts. Twelve institutions and 21 programmes from the Netherlands and Flanders participated. The experiences gained during the pilot are now published in an evaluation report: Internationalisation Assessment - An evaluation of NVAO's pilot procedures.

NVAO additionally intends to start publishing good practices in the field of internationalisation and has therefore developed the Good Practices in Internationalisation Platform (GPIP). Institutions can use this platform to share and exchange internationalisation experiences. The GPIP will be launched on 12 January 2012 during NVAO's annual internationalisation seminar in The Hague.
